I have recently accepted an assistant professor position in the Computer Science department at Coastal Carolina University, in Myrtle Beach, SC, starting in August, 2008. Previously, I was an assistant professor at the US Naval Academy in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department from August 1, 2006 to July 15, 2008. Before that, I was a Visiting Instructor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, USA. ... and about 6 months before that, I was a graduate student. I originally graduated from Clemson University with a BS (Aug 1995 - May 1999), and later with an MS (Dec. 2000), and finally with a Ph.D. (Dec. 2005), each in Computer Engineering. My research interests include parallel computing, job scheduling, performance evaluation and modeling, and discrete event simulation. I suppose one could say that I am currently a former member of the Parallel Architecture Research Laboratory (PARL), where I worked with Dr. Walt Ligon.
