Research Interests
My research interests include hardware design using reprogrammable hardware (particularly Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)). This involves utilizing the VHDL Hardware Description Language to implement specific algorithms of interest. Currently, this involves algorithms related to processing satelite telemetry and speeding up the processing through a hardware implementation.
Current Project
AVHRR Calibration
The AVHRR Calibration algorithm uses a linear calibration algorithm based on internal
PRT measurements, sensor readings from the internal PRTs, and space look data. The
Planck function is used to convert temperature measurements to radiance.
